Meeting at RA NA Prosperous Armenia Faction
1 / 3
On September 18, in the RA National Assembly the members of the RA NA Prosperous Armenia Faction met with the deputies of the Democratic Party of Artsakh Faction of the Parliament of Artsakh Republic Davit Melkumyan and Gegham Stepanyan.

The colleagues highlighted the strengthening of the inter-parliamentary ties between the two Armenian states and touched upon the item of cooperation in the spheres of politics, economy and foreign relations.

The participants exchanged ideas on the settlement of Artsakh problem.

The Secretary of the RA NA Prosperous Armenia Faction Arman Abovyan has noted that their party has a distinct position, according to which, the expression “Artsakh problem” does not exist, as there is Artsakh Republic, a political unit with all its institutes, which are much more assessed by the international biggest analytical centres in terms of democracy, than for example, Turkey or Azerbaijan.

“The Armenian people solved the Artsakh problem,” Arman Abovyan said, adding that the de jure legitimization of de facto independence of Artsakh is the undeniable way of the problem settlement, which we should observe as a basis of negotiations’ process.

Issues of bilateral interest were also discussed.
